A Puzzle for You!

Today's Wonder of the World is...A Puzzle For You!
The first one to guess what The Mystery Objects are wins a prize!
Another postcard! I haven't chosen it yet. It'll be a surprise for both of us!
Yey! Another give away!

Here it is. Or I should say, Here they are!

I bought them at a flea market in Paris for a Euro a piece!
So the question is...What the heck are they?
Guess away!
(And leave me a way to contact you please!)

Have a Wonder-full Tuesday y'all!
Love, Becky

OK, you are making these "elder eyes" squink and blink and water in an effort to determine what those objects are! They look like part of a door decor--keyhole plates! There ya have it! Yep, those are definitely key hole plates.

I'm not sure but are they rubbing's of a keyhole plate.

Have a marvelous 4th.

Barb

Part of a door. That's all I got.

I think they are door plates, where the handle goes.
Rosemary
ps, they are really beautiful, and I would have bought them too.

The fronts of drawers - with the knobs removed?

doors, lintels, drawer panels, fireplace mantles or sides, bench tops, table tops, kitchen cabinet panels, two totally different things for different uses and propping them together is misleading, can't tell their dimensions. Is that an enormous or tiny flower pot????

Becky, I thought you were taking a breaky-poo! Couldn't stay away, huh?

Are they patterns for making door hardware?

They do look like eschuteons but maybe that is too obvious? How about match strikes?
Have a great 4th! Deb

i think they are parisian weapons that are made from carved door panels. have an intruder? clunk them on the head! that's my guess. oh, and they also double has nice artwork. ;)

They don't look like door decorations themselves to me, but maybe they are the molds used to make door decorations. Blessings, marlene

The blue one is definitely a door decor keyhole plate mold. You can see where the 4 mounting screw holes would be drilled, and you can see where the doorknob hole or rectangle would be cut in the center section.
The other one is also a mold, but maybe for something like a decorative piece to attach to a door or doorpost. Could be used elsewhere for decoration besides a door.

It looks like other people have guessed what I would have, the fronts of drawers, but they sure are pretty. I'm curious, whatever they are.

I love your guesses! You are some creative people!
And Marlene, you're the first to say molds, so you win the prize! They are indeed molds for the hardware for armoire doors. Yey Marlene!

And Randy, good explanation. I'll send you something too.

Actually I bought about five of them. I'll have to post pictures of the others when I get a chance.

Thanks for playing y'all!
