Today's Wonder of the World is...French Postcards!
Like this one!
Remember, we're still in slide show/show and tell mode, while I'm on a little blogging break.
I thought I would share some of my French postcards with you.
I love to collect postcards. Some mean more to me than others.
I like to give away my most special ones as gifts.
Some postcards I keep to myself, because they're so racy.
I wouldn't want to give anyone a heart attack.
Sorry to give you whiplash. Yesterday sacred paintings, today racy postcards!
Will wonders never cease?
Why don't I share a couple of those postcards with you? You won't tell anyone, will you?
Are you ready? Prepare yourself! These are pretty...revealing!
Here goes!
Here's two from a series called La Passion de Colinette.
Naughty Colinette, running around her apartment in her drawers!
Even posing for a pic of her derriere!
Ooh la la.
It's over.
Are you alright?
Here, focus on this one.
Unless the Notre Dame cathedral makes you hyperventilate!
Here's one of the cathedral at Lourdes.
Remember our trip to Lourdes in French By Heart?
And here's an Easter card from 1915.
Whoa! Those are some big eggs!
Remember eggs? HERE?
I also like the back sides of postcards.
Here's the back of the Easter card.
Don't you love that pretty French handwriting?
And here's the one from Lourdes.
Have a Wonder-full Thursday, y'all!
Love, Becky

Hi Becky,
I love them. I think French postcards are so pretty, and yes they had beautiful handwriting.
Have a great day!

Ooh la la is right! Tres fun, Becky. Your post cards a fun. Hope you are having a good bloggy break, too.
Good lord lady keep that up and you'll be getting a PG-17 rating. Im shocked horrified and uh horrified.
My heart is still beating fast. My goodness! or should I say Sacre Bleu!
That one with the woman in her...knickers, is it?...is AMAZING. I think I'd like to invite you out to California to hit the flea markets with me.
I'm the worst at them!
Ooh la la indeed! Scadelous! These are beautiful. I loved the tinted ones.
I have some *naughty* pics of myself in my vintage corsets and underpinnings. LOL... they don't show a thing!

You've done so well to have collected these great postcards while you were across the pond. In the wonderful land where Love, Food, and Drink, are near the top of everybody's list. And I like the way Andy Rooney describes them, "what the French know how to do best is live life" - its true!
The Easter Eggs: phenominal, and I noticed that possibly the card-seller stamped his name in the lower-right OVER the artists name. I'd like to claim credit for that one too - its very beautiful
Notre Dame: "Leaning towers of Notre Dame?" - I know you didn't tilt it because the text at the bottom is horizontal
The PG-17 Lady: women have come a long way - additionally in that they don't have to wear those ultra-tight corsets - I bet they used to get GI problems from them
Lourdes Cathedral: never been but it looks awesome and don't you love the creativity while they add color? Beautiful arches too.
Postcard backs: you can almost sense the love the writer was feeling when he wrote that Easter Card. Puy de Dome - didn't know that was a township, or at least it was back then.
Wonderful slide show!!!
Randy
People here did not leave a single pixel in postcards blank, when it was the only means of communication. I find it rather strange that the postcard you have shown, bears the same sign.
