A Give-Away! Free Frenchy junque for you!

Hey there friends!
And a special hello to any moms who might have stumbled into my site from Mommyfest, an online roaming blog-party. What good timing you have!
Do you know that this week will mark this blog's first month anniversary?
Woo hoo!
I thought we'd have a little party to celebrate.

(Yes, that's Sam, with his calmer friend Mitchell. My boy is a party animal.)

Welcome to my home, Mommyfesters and all the rest of you! Don't slip on the confetti there.
Make yourself at home! Have some tea, or a cafe au lait.
And a doughnut! I love doughnuts!

While you throw your jacket on my bed and find a corner to leave your purse, allow me to introduce myself. (The rest of you who are already acquainted with my weird ways are free to chat amongst yourselves. I'll be done with the intro in just a sec and we'll get on with Give-Away details.)

If free stuff bores you, you can move on to today's Wonder of the World on the next post and skip this part --although first I suggest you make a quick stop at the doctor's office because WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU THAT YOU DON'T WANT FREE STUFF? ARE YOU FEELING SICKLY? Poor thing.

Now, back to who I am. This is me with all my babies.

The last one is a little hairy.
My sweetie husband Todd put this collage together for me for Mother's Day and made a card out of it. Isn't he so thoughtful? He's cute too.

I'm Becky Ramsey, mom to Sarah (17,) Ben (15,) and Sam (9.)
Obviously they're not babies anymore.

I'm also an author. My book, French by Heart, published April 2007 by Random House's Broadway Books, tells the true story of my family's move to France and the four years we spent there. I write this blog, Wonders Never Cease, to remind me to celebrate the wonders I find in my everyday life, and to inspire me to watch for more fun/bizarre/beautiful things happening right under my nose here in South Carolina.

Plus it gives me human contact! Yey humans!

Since I started this blog I've met the most fascinating people! Really. You folks (even the ones bored by free stuff whispering in the corner over there) are great. The blog has been a perfect way to keep me excited about writing, and it's given me other souls to talk with other than Tanner the Slobber Dog, who mostly talks about eating. And walkies. And wallowing around on my bed. (If you stick around, you'll hear more about him.)

So now, on with the GIVE-AWAY...
I've never done a contest. I'm excited! It's my kind of contest, which means it requires no skill at all!

So what are we hoping to win?
French postcards!
No, not that kind of French postcards! Just who do you think I am?

I have three pretty antique postcards to give away, one for each of three lucky winners.
And no, you don't have to be a Mommy-fester. You can even be an Uncle Fester. (JaxPop and other guys, feel free to enter. I do not discriminate. I love the male species.)

Here are the postcards. I hope you like them.
Number 1: This is a World War I one.

Number 2: Bonne annee means Happy New Year.

Number 3: The girl's sign says, "Love me as I love you."

Entering is easy!
All you have to do is to leave a comment at this post, saying you'd like to be included, or whatever else you'd like to say. If you don't have a blog, just check in as anonymous, but be sure to leave your first name and email so that I can contact you for your address in case you're a lucky winner. AND DON'T FORGET TO TELL ME WHICH POSTCARDS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN! You can be entered just for one, two, or all three. I'll have a separate drawing for each one.

The drawing will close at 8pm EST on Friday, May 16th, so be sure to comment by then. I'll announce the lucky winners on Saturday morning, as soon as I put on my robe and have my morning coffee!
Bonne chance!

And welcome to my blog home! If you're new here, feel free to poke around a while. And visit the sites of my friends. They're something else! And so are you, I'm sure.
Good to meet you!

Love, Becky

Je parle francais tres un peu (desolé)! Moi aussi pour #3!!!

Phew, I hope I actually typed something remotely close to the language. I only took 4 1/2 years of French to forget all of it!!! I love the French culture and I hope to one day visit. I love the antique postcards!!!

Okay I looked at the postcards again (because I actually forgot what each one was when I was putting in my comment) and I'd love to be entered for all three! I love French stuff way too much to pass this one up!

Oh my word! I read your book six months ago and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! (I got my degree in French; that's what caught my eye. But your writing is what "kept" my eye.) I'm so glad to have met you through Mommyfest!

Hi Becky,

Just stopping by from Mommyfest. I love your blog. And I would really love to read your book! How exciting that must've been.

When my husband and I were dating we used to dream about moving to France and living on a vineyard. We read "A year in Provence" together. It was so romantic.

Then we got married and had kids...and well...we live in Texas in a suburb, but it's still kinda romantic.

I think we both secretly hope we'll make it to France someday.

I love all three of your lovely postcards! And now I'm going to see if my library has your book!

So nice to meet you!

♥ Melissa~

I found you through the MommyFest. Even though it's over, I'm loving reading all the blogs and meeting new women.

Your photos are great. I too have "hairy" kids. Two of them. They truly believe they are part of the family. We can't leave the house without them running out to get in the car too LOL.

Nice to meet you.
