Time for a Change

Today's Wonder of the World is...Change.

Happy First Day of School! At least at our house.
We've got new backpacks, packs of paper galore, and pencils and glue sticks coming out of our ears. It's a brand new year, and change is in the air.
For me too.

I've been thinking about making a few changes to this blog. After posting over 290 Wonders of the World, it thrills me that wonders keep presenting themselves (just like the Montana bunny rabbit) but I'm thinking it might be fun to change things up a bit. Maybe along with the wonders, we could discuss other topics of interest- writing and memoir, how you nurture the creative spark, that sort of stuff. Oh, and Krispy Kreme doughnuts, too, and anything else of likewise spiritual importance. What do you think? I ask because this involves you too. When I say we could discuss, I'm not using the royal We. I hope you'll stay with me and share your thoughts. I love you guys dearly and enjoy your comments so much.

So I'm taking a miniature blog break to think things over. Ben and Todd had their mancation, so it's time for a womancation of my own! I'm afraid they used up all the frequent flier miles so there's no Rome or Athens or Paris for me. No problem. I'll sit right here and mull things over at my desk with a nice cup of coffee. And maybe a Krispy Kreme.

Have a wonder-ful week, y'all! Before you leave, I'd love to hear your thoughts. What do you think?
Love, Becky
PS. Hope to see you back on Monday!

First off, I got all nostalgic when thinking of getting school supplies and clothes. I used to love to shop for clothes and new pens and such. I for one love blogs that are somewhat interactive and promote discussion (maybe because I love comments) and will certainly support you in whatever changes you decide on. Hope you enjoy your break and come back refreshed and rejuvenated. Hugs, Susan

Must be something in the air that's affecting bloggers. I've already cut waaaaayyyy back on posting & reading - 'cause it takes so much time from my writing. I'll probably shut my blog down altogether later this month - that's the way I'm leaning anyway.

Becky - I'm sure that whatever you decide to do with your blog will make it even more fantastic - uplifting - funny & creative.

Oh, MAN!!! A Krispy Kreme donut sounds really good right about now...NO NO NO! I want to eat healthier more than I want to eat that donut...Oh, but it IS my birthday month...NO NO NO!!! THIN tastes better....oh, but what if I just have ONE!?!

See, what you've done by the mere MENTION of a Krispy Kreme donut??? LOL!

Some things NEVER change...

...sigh...

Becky - I'm going to want to listen in and join ANY conversation with you, so just lead the way and count me in!

I'd be happy to join in your conversations about whatever. It'd be nice to hear what you have to say about writing.

Hi Becky,
I love your blog anyway you present it. You write from your heart and what you know, I enjoy that.
Enjoy your time off.
and have a krispy kreme for me.

I will read whatever you have to say ... I just know I'll be interested, whether it's a 'Wonder of the World' or a conversation about writing!!! :-)

Count me in Becky - I'm always up for sharing and learning in whatever forum you choose. Sounds as if you are due for a change, a new chapter in you life. Don't give up on that womancation - maybe it could stay low cost by keeping it in the US. But I think that even though your Hubby and son used Frequent Flier Miles, those still are $ and took $ to obtain them, so I think they owe you a cash trip. Go somewhere incredible that they haven't been to, bring a lady friend and have a real womancation. If you like National Parks and wildlife, then in September after Labor Day is an excellent time - crowds are down, wildlife are out.
Keep the news coming so we'll know how you're doing.

Change is good you know. But you have neglected Tanner for so many posts now. Posting a picture here and there once in a while not gonna hurt you! I love the humor in your posts but please give us some more Tanner.

The mix makes it fun and interesting Becky. I agree with JaxPop .."- I'm sure that whatever you decide to do with your blog will make it even more fantastic - uplifting - funny & creative."

ooh and Krispy Kreme makes me laugh too, because then I hear Homer Simpson saying,"mmmmmm. Donuts."

Enjoy the break.

Hi Becky,

Catching up. It looks like Montana was lots of fun. Those size 14 feet- I have a son with the same shoe size. They both have a good understanding-hehe or should I say lol?

I love your blog! Just need to find a way to visit those I really enjoy on a more regular basis.

I know you said you didn't want to enter my giveaway since you won once, however, I am older and I have entered you. See what happens once you hit 55!

hugs,
Barb

I can't blame you for wanting a bit of a blog change. I've wondered how long you can keep finding wonders (I know they're still out there, but . . .). Whether you choose to write all about writing or all about Krispy Kreme, I will still read your blog.

Well, of course it sounds good to me. Will email you off-line. It also does feel like everyone is popping in on Facebook and no one's reading these days, but hopefully I'm wrong or it's a temporary thing.

You have the sweetest, dearest heart and soul, girl. I would follow you anywhere, whether Paris, France or Paris, Tennessee. Thank God for the Internet.

I've been so busy this summer....I think I've been taking a blogation and didn't realize it!

I love visiting you...you were one of my very first blogs that I found. I know whatever you do will be great! I'm not much of a writer, but I would love to read what you and others share about the topic--and I'm always up for a Krispy Kreme!

Oh, and I, too, LOVE the smell of sch. supplies. I think I need to run over to Target and sniff a couple of spiral notebooks and a box of crayons!

Take care and enjoy your break.
