Our team is the New Britain Rock Cats - an affiliate of the Twins. We had a great time. Like you said, we were much closer to the action. My son even got to participate in one of the between inning contests they have on the field. He loved it.EllenPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00699649846418542605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272729178612778511.post-77194224737019284802009-06-15T22:50:44.318-04:002009-06-15T22:50:44.318-04:00What a cute post! He went to every single game (he was a former minor league player himself). I have many good memories of attending games with him as a kid. I never really did like the game itself, but everything else was great fun!CChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01537821831479150677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272729178612778511.post-53980431414374127672009-06-15T13:38:35.886-04:002009-06-15T13:38:35.886-04:00I'm all about the boiled peanuts! It's so ...I'm all about the boiled peanuts! It's so hard to find them anywhere else but in the south. I missed them so bad when I went away to college. I have a cousin who was so desperate for boiled peanuts one time and couldn't find any (even raw ones) that she boiled roasted peanuts to try and make it work. It didn't. Sad, eh?

I love the music at the games. The crack of the bat. The excitement in the crowd. I like to watch the game though too. I didn't used to, but with a husband who loves baseball, I've learned there's so much more to it than what I used to think.lotusgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06663641163048764869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272729178612778511.post-78570940072230318242009-06-15T12:56:33.754-04:002009-06-15T12:56:33.754-04:00That is very cute. Deb always kept the score book for me (not in the dugout). When a batter came up to the plate - I could look over & she would signal where the kid hit the ball on a previous at bat & what kind of pitch he hit. I'd adjust the defensive positioning & call the pitch accordingly. Most of my former players stay in touch - way cool. Haven't seen any minor league games but Spring Training & College games are great.David Ebrighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03037059701518103541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272729178612778511.post-33886947852931178722009-06-15T08:45:20.601-04:002009-06-15T08:45:20.601-04:00We went to our local game one night... oh... years...We went to our local game one night... oh... years ago. The performer for the day put on a bike helmet, climbed into a rather small box and then she blew up said box. Her name? Dynamite Lady.
