I'd want to see them, but I'm not sure I'd want to go up to the top. Heights are not my favorite. I bet it is windy up there.

Hey kathryn and tattingchic! Tattingchic, that's funny. Ex-boyfriend memories are always interesting.

Steve, interesting comment. I guess my kids might never have experienced it either if we hadn't lived in un-air conditioned France. It was hard to get used to the air conditioning after we moved back to the USA. I think we walked around Mom's house in blankets for the whole first week. If it's not blazing hot I'll still turn it off and open all the windows. But when it gets past 85, I turn it right back on again. I've become a wimp I guess. Hey, don't I remember y'all visiting us in France during a heat wave?Rebecca Ramseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14851717214205302476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272729178612778511.post-8191457682428759662008-06-18T11:55:00.000-04:002008-06-18T11:55:00.000-04:00Looking at the children putting their faces close ...Looking at the children putting their faces close to the fan brought back a few memories as well as the realization that my kids haven't really experienced it.

We are spoiled with our AC, I guess. I don't lament being more comfortable, but there's something special about feeling the breeze from a big old box fan as you try to go to sleep on a warm summer night. I guess it's my choice to use more kWh's running the AC instead of letting my children experience the green(er) joys of the box fan. But when it's still 90 degrees at bedtime with a dewpoint in the 70's, I prefer comfortable to sentimental(or some might argue responsible).stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14045516539837579240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272729178612778511.post-65636167013525182792008-06-18T10:32:00.000-04:002008-06-18T10:32:00.000-04:00I've been to that very spot in Hawaii...it's in Oa...I've been to that very spot in Hawaii...it's in Oahu, isn't it?
